Like it or Not, AI Adoption is Happening Fast

A joint report by Microsoft and LinkedIn, the 2024 Annual Work Trend Index, reveals a significant rise in employee adoption of AI tools at work. 75% of knowledge workers use AI at work today, and 46% of users started using it less than six months ago. 78% of workers are utilizing unsanctioned solutions/tools not explicitly condoned by employers. The study underscores the importance for companies to establish clear AI usage policies and provide secure environments to navigate potential data security risks. (Full Research)

One major update that stands out is the ability for custom-created GPTs to be used by anyone (previously just paid users). This creates a unique opportunity for businesses to leverage CustomGPTs as a part of their marketing strategy.

French AI Startup Mistral Soars to $6B Valuation

Paris-based AI startup, Mistral AI, is raising $600 million at a valuation of $6 billion. This is a major jump from their December valuation, highlighting strong investor interest. The French company focuses on open-source large language models and is seen as a European competitor to OpenAI and Anthropic.
